The Boathouse is a independently run family friendly cafe set between the sea and a ley (lake) on Slapton Sands. Every table has a view of the lake on one side and the sea on the other. It is a very popular meeting place serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and takeaway fish and chips in the summer months.

We offer a classic range of seaside meals, including our renowned fish and chips, burgers, salads and a children’s menu along with fresh barista coffee, tea and cakes served all day.

We beers, cider and lager, on tap, along with wine and soft drinks.

Every table has the most amazing, panoramic views, not only of the sea which are a few steps away in one direction but Slapton Ley Nature Reserve in the other direction. We have a decking on the lake side where you can sit beside the ley and in the cooler months there is a fire and leather sofas for you to relax on.
